# Create SS7 Point Codes

### To create SS7 origination and destination point codes:

**1. Click "Point Codes" in the navigation panel:**

**2. Click "Create New Point Code" in the point code information panel:**

**3. Configure the new point code:**

* Enter a name for the point code
* Select a type (select type-specific parameters)
  * OPC
  * DPC
  * Mask
* Select a DPC length:
  * 14 bits
  * 16 bits
  * 24 bits
* Enter a point code
* Click "Create" to finalize the configuration In this example, a Destination Point Code (DPC) was created.

**4. Verify that the "MTP3PointCode was successfully created" message appears:**
