# Creating an SCCP LSAP

> **Applies to:** Tmedia 3.0, 3.2, 3.3

After you create an [SCCP](https://github.com/telcobridges-main/tmedia-wiki/tree/main/reference/protocols/sccp/README.md) network, you must create a new SCCP lower service access point ([LSAP](https://github.com/telcobridges-main/tmedia-wiki/tree/main/reference/signalling/lsap/README.md)).

Creating an [LSAP](https://github.com/telcobridges-main/tmedia-wiki/tree/main/tmedia/configuration/create-an-sccp-lsap/README.md) tells the [SCCP](https://github.com/telcobridges-main/tmedia-wiki/tree/main/reference/protocols/sccp/README.md) protocol layer about a collection of [SS7](https://telcobridges.com/media-gateways/solutions/signaling/migrating-ss7-sigtran/) nodes that are accessible through [MTP3](https://github.com/telcobridges-main/tmedia-wiki/tree/main/reference/protocols/mtp3/README.md).

To Create an SCCP LSAP:

1- Select **SCCP** from the navigation panel

2- Select an SCCP Network

3- Click **Create New SCCP LSAP** in the [SCCP](https://github.com/telcobridges-main/tmedia-wiki/tree/main/reference/protocols/sccp/README.md) network configuration window

4- Configure the new SCCP LSAP:

* Enter a [Name](https://github.com/telcobridges-main/tmedia-wiki/tree/main/reference/parameters/name/README.md) for the LSAP
* Click **Create**

5- Verify that the **"SccpLsap was successfully created"** message appears

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://prosbcdocs.telcobridges.com/tmedia-documentation/configuration/creating-an-sccp-lsap.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
