# M3UA / SIGTRAN parameters

M3UA, M2UA, M2PA and SCTP association settings. 121 parameters.

## A

| Parameter                                     | Description                                                                                                                      |

| **Abort negociation if nb. streams mismatch** | Accept connection when the number of incoming streams from the receiver is less than the number of outgoing streams from sender. |
| **Accept additional lifetime**                | SCTP must accept an additional lifetime parameter from the peer to extended the cookie lifetime                                  |
| **Allow dynamic registration of RK**          | Indicates if PSP is authorized to receive DRKM messages.                                                                         |
| **Allow Re-register**                         | The remote PSP is authorized to re-register a routing key with modified parameters.                                              |
| **ASP Id Mode**                               | This flag specifies whether it is manadatory to receive ASP\_ID in an ASPUP message.                                             |

| **CIC End**                     | Circuit Identification Code.                                                                           |
| **CIC Start**                   | Circuit Identification Code.                                                                           |
| **Configure for all local IPs** | This flag specifies whether this ASP/IPSP needs to be configured for all local Peer Servers.           |
| **Cookie life time**            | The lifetime limit of the base cookie.                                                                 |

| **Destination Port**        | The Destination Port parameter is used to set a destination for a line in a system using SIGTRAN protocols.            |
| **DPC Length**              | The DPC Length parameter is used to set a format for the destination point code (DPC) according to the specifications. |

| **Include Trid**                         | This field can only be set to TRUE if the SIO is set to SCCP.                                          |
| **Initial Retransmission Timeout (RTO)** | The initial value of the retransmission timeout.                                                       |
| **Initial window space**                 | Initial advertised receiver window space                                                               |
| **Initiate SCTP association**            | Initiates the SCTP association to reach the remote end.                                                |
| **Interface ID**                         | The Interface ID parameter is used to identify the interface of an M2UA link.                          |
| **Interface ID Type**                    | The Interface ID Type parameter is used to define the data type of an M2UA Link's interface ID.        |
| **Interface name**                       | Name of this IP interface.                                                                             |
| **IP Address**                           | The IP Address parameter is used to set an address for accessing a new media gateway controller (MGC). |
| **IPSP Double Ended**                    | Indicates the IPSP mode, single ended or double ended.                                                 |

| **Life time of MD5 keys** | A new private key needs to be generated every time this timer expires (Allowed values are from 100ms to 6500000ms) |
| **Link Test Characters**  | The Link Test Characters parameter is used to create a test packet for MTP3 lines.                                 |
| **Link Test Slc**         | The Link Test Slc parameter is a value used in SLTM/SLTA messages on MTP3 links.                                   |
| **Load Share Mode**       | The Load Share Mode parameter is used to set a scheme for sharing traffic loads on M2UA clusters.                  |
| **Load Sharing Mode**     | Round Robin: Load share mode, Round Robin SLS: Load share mode, SLS selection                                      |
| **Local**                 | The Local parameter is used to define an M3UA peer server as a local server.                                       |

| **M3UA Userpart**                          | The M3UA Userpart parameter is used to associate a userpart with an M3UA route.                                                                                                                    |
| **M3UA: AS Pending Timer**                 | The amount of time that a PS remains in the AS\_PENDING state before transitioning to AS\_INACTIVE or AS\_DOWN.                                                                                    |
| **M3UA: ASP Down Timer**                   | Period between ASPDN messages when attempting to bring up the path to the SGP (initiated from ASP) Allowed values are from 10 ms to 65000000 ms.                                                   |
| **M3UA: ASP Messages Timeout**             | The time to wait after sending ASPAC or ASPIA before failing.                                                                                                                                      |
| **M3UA: ASP Up Timer**                     | Period between ASPUP messages when attempting to bring up the path to the SGP (initiated from ASP) Allowed values are from 10 ms to 65000000 ms.                                                   |
| **M3UA: Congestion level 3**               | When the number of messages in the congestion queue reaches this level, SS7 congestion level 3 is declared.                                                                                        |
| **M3UA: DAUD Timer**                       | Period between the DAUD messages while auditing a destination state at ASP.                                                                                                                        |
| **M3UA: Destination Restrict supported**   | Restricted status of the route is supported.                                                                                                                                                       |
| **M3UA: DRKM Timer**                       | Time period between the DRKM (REG REQ and DEREG REQ) messages when registering or deregistering RKs from the ASP.                                                                                  |
| **M3UA: DUNA Settle Timeout**              | Period for which M3UA (at the SG) will suppress the response DUNAs regarding an SS7 destination to give the remote side (ASPs) the time to react to the previously sent DUNA message from the SGP. |
| **M3UA: Heartbeat Timer**                  | If this timer is enabled, M3UA sends out BEAT messages to remote servers with the selected period, and expects BEAT\_ACK messages in return.                                                       |
| **M3UA: MTP3 Status Timer**                | The period of the status poll timer used to poll the co-resident MTP3 point codes status through the nodal interworking function.                                                                  |
| **M3UA: Number of DKRM messages**          | The number of DRKM messages sent to the M3UA server (each time after a period of tmrDrkm) before declaring to the LM that the registration/deregistration request failed.                          |
| **M3UA: Only one hardware unit is active** | A single hardware unit will be in an active state.                                                                                                                                                 |
| **M3UA: Restart Timer**                    | Restart the hold-off timer.                                                                                                                                                                        |
| **M3UA: Sequence Control Timer**           | If a PSP becomes unavailable, the traffic is diverted to other PSPs in a load-sharing manner, after holding the traffic for 'un32SeqControlTimer' time to avoid an out-of-sequence condition.      |
| **Max ASSO retransmissions**               | Maximum number of datagram retransmissions for an association                                                                                                                                      |
| **Max INIT retransmissions**               | Maximum of retries the SCTP layer must make to send the INIT datagram to the peer, to open the association                                                                                         |

| **Maximum datagram before ACK**            | Maximum number of datagram retransmissions for an association.                                                                                                                                     |
| **Maximum datagram burst**                 | The maximum datagram burst value.                                                                                                                                                                  |
| **Maximum heartbeat at each RTO**          | The maximum number of heartbeats sent at each RTO.                                                                                                                                                 |
| **Maximum Retransmission Timeout (RTO)**   | The maximum value of the retransmission timeout.                                                                                                                                                   |
| **Message Priority**                       | The Message Priority parameter is used to set a priority for messages on an MTP3 link.                                                                                                             |
| **Minimum Active Psps for load sharing**   | The minimum number of simultaneously active PSPs required for load sharing of the PSRV.                                                                                                            |
| **Minimum Retransmission Timeout (RTO)**   | The minimum value of the retransmission timeout.                                                                                                                                                   |
| **MTP2 Link**                              | The MTP2 Link parameter is used to select an MTP2 link to bind to an object.                                                                                                                       |
| **MTP3 Primitive Timer**                   | This is the time that M3UA will wait when expecting a response from the SCTP service provider for the association establish/release request primitive that was sent by M3UA.                       |
| **MTU size**                               | Size of maximum transmission unit                                                                                                                                                                  |

| **Name**                     | The Name parameter must be entered in when creating a new object, during Web Portal configuration.                       |
| **Netmask**                  | The Netmask parameter is used to set a subnetwork mask number on an IP port.                                             |
| **Network Appearance**       | The optional network appearance parameter when communicating with the remote peer.                                       |
| **Network Appearance Value** | Network appearance parameter value.                                                                                      |
| **Node Type**                | The Node Type parameter is used to assign a configuration to an M3UA network.                                            |
| **Number of SCTP Streams**   | The Number of SCTP Streams parameter is used to set the number of streams on a link in a system using the SCTP protocol. |

| **Point Code Mask** | The Point Code Mask parameter is used to set a scheme for accepting point codes in an M3UA route.                            |
| **Priority Level**  | The Priority Level parameter is used to set a priority for MTP3 links.                                                       |
| **Protocol Type**   | The Protocol Type/Variant parameter is used to identify the SS7 protocol variant that will be used with a particular object. |
| **PSP Type**        | The PSP Type parameter is used to assign a configuration to an M3UA peer signaling process.                                  |

## Q

| **Query Retry Count** | The maximum number of times a DNS requery will occur before giving up. |
| **Query Timer**       | DNS query timeout.                                                     |

| **Required Available**        | PSRV must be active in order for the SPMC of which it forms a part, to be marked available.                               |
| **Route Type**                | The Route Type parameter is used to assign a type to an M3UA Route.                                                       |
| **Routing Context**           | The Routing Context (RC) parameter is used to set an integer value for an M3UA peer server, to identify information sent. |
| **Routing Context Mandatory** | Refuse ASP\_ACTIVE message from this PSP, when the routing context parameter is not present in the message                |

| **SCTP Source Port**                    | The SCTP Source Port parameter is used to define a source port for a service access point (SAP) in a system using SIGTRAN protocols.                                           |
| **Self ASP Id**                         | Specifies the ASP parameter of the ASPUP message.                                                                                                                              |
