# Modifying Tone Definition Profile Settings

'Tone Definition Profiles' list the frequencies for each tone that is used in a telephone network. This can change from one country to the next, such as the sound of a ring or busy tone. You can create a customized tone definition profile by simply copying an existing one and then modifying it.

\
To create a tone definition profile:

1- Click Profiles in the navigation window.

\
2- Click the Tone Definition Profiles tab.

<figure><img src="https://docs.telcobridges.com/w/images/7/77/Profile_Tone_Definition_A_1.png" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

\
3- Copy a tone definition profile to use as a baseline for the new profile.

* Click Copy

<figure><img src="https://docs.telcobridges.com/w/images/e/e5/Profile_Tone_Definition_2.png" alt=""><figcaption></figcaption></figure>

* Provide a name for the new file.
* Click Copy

4- Select the newly create profile from the User Profiles list.

\
5- Make changes to the profile.

* Click Save

\
6-Return to the Profile page

* Click Profiles in the navigation window.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://prosbcdocs.telcobridges.com/configuration-details/configuration-by-use-case/rtp-no-anchoring/creating-profiles/modifying-tone-definition-profile-settings.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
